Outpatient Services

Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) has multiple outpatient clinics across the Upper Peninsula. Outpatient services are an opportunity for you to walk through the assessment process with a trained clinician to determine the treatment that is relevant for you. This may include any combination of individual and group therapy as well as referral to detox services or residential treatment.

Group Services

A variety of group therapy sessions are held weekly at many GLRC Outpatient Services locations, providing a structured, non-judgmental environment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders.

GLRC also facilitates AA and NA-based meetings within our outpatient offices. Please note that these are not public groups; participation is limited to enrolled clients and conducted in a confidential, clinically supervised setting.

Peer Recovery

Peer Recovery Coaching is a peer-based support service designed to assist individuals in addiction and dependency recovery.

As a non-clinical service, it can be provided alongside professional treatment to enhance overall care. Evidence-based peer interventions have been shown to improve engagement, increase retention in services, and reduce the likelihood of return to use.

Access to Peer Recovery Coaching is available by internal referral only.

Women and Family Services

Women and Family Services provides specialized case management delivered by a certified Women and Family Specialist to established clients in Marquette and Chippewa Counties only.

This program supports a range of needs, including housing stability, legal matters, financial guidance, educational support, medical referrals, and parenting skills. Limited funding may be available to assist with essential expenses such as diapers, basic necessities, and gas cards in select circumstances.

Veterans Services

Great Lakes Recovery Centers provides readjustment counseling and weekly support services for veterans in Marquette County through the Negaunee Integrated Care Clinic and Marquette Outpatient Services Clinic.

In partnership with the VA and our community, GLRC also supports homeless veterans by offering temporary residential placement within its existing service programs. This approach helps ensure access to safe housing as well as needed mental health and substance use treatment services.

The long-term goal is to develop a dedicated veteran recovery residence that promotes increased independence and self-sufficiency, while maintaining a structured environment to support ongoing recovery and reduce the risk of relapse.

Medical Services

Medical programs are staffed by physicians and nurse practitioners who can provide medication assisted treatment along with treatment for health conditions, preventative care, education on health topics and minor office procedures.
