L.I.V.E suicide Prevention
Who are we? Located across the Upper Peninsula, “LIVE” is a diverse group of
individuals who work to prevent suicide in the community.
Our team consists members from
healthcare, law enforcement, schools,
businesses, community members, non-profit organizations and others
Meeting monthly to discuss ways to reduce stigma in our community, such as promoting educational events, attending health fairs, and participating in community events.
Reducing Stigma: normalizing mental
health treatment and combating myths about suicide are arguably the most important actions we can take to destigmatize suicide
Education: Providing accurate and detailed information on suicide is crucial. We work to create events and material surrounding suicide to accurately understand.
Community Involvement: Networking with our community to share our message and work together to achieve goals.
If you or someone you know is in emotional distress call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for free, confidential, 24/7 support. Simply call or text these three numbers 988.
